As Director, Paul Alvaro is very much at the forefront of maintaining the reputation of Paul Alvaro Lawyers as an efficient and effective provider of quality legal services in the firm’s chosen fields of law of Personal Injury, Family and Wills & Estates.
Prior to commencing his own practice, Paul headed up the personal injury practice at Wallmans Lawyers for 14 years where he represented various unions, organisations and individuals.
In 2003 Paul founded Paul Alvaro Lawyers at Grange Road, Flinders Park. Initially, Paul was assisted only by a paralegal but over time the practice grew and now consists of 8 lawyers, 3 paralegals and 7 support staff. The practice now operates out of 4 locations, Flinders Park (head office), Salisbury, Campbelltown and Dover Gardens.
Areas of Expertise
Paul has been practising personal injury law since 1979. His expertise extends to most aspects of personal injury law, including motor vehicle accidents, workers compensation claims and public liability with a focus on catastrophic injuries and other complex actions.
He has represented injured persons in all Courts including the High Court, Supreme Court, District Court and Workers Compensation Tribunal.
Matters undertaken by Paul include:
- Claims for seriously injured persons involving complex quantum issues and multiple parties;
- Slip and fall claims against shopping centres involving multiple parties;
- Catastrophic injury claims such as quadriplegia, paraplegia and amputations caused by motor vehicle or workplace accidents;
- Claims involving complex issues such as brain injuries.
He has a deep knowledge of the Return to Work Act 2014 governing workers compensation claims in South Australia and the Motor Vehicle Act 1959 governing the third party motor insurance (or CTP) in South Australia.
Paul is dedicated to providing the utmost in client service and is committed to assisting injured parties obtain the necessary rehabilitation and compensation due. He goes to great lengths to understand his client’s stories, personal situations, concerns and goals.

He also has a prominent presence in the Italian, Polish, Croation, Serbian and Greek communities.
Recognition
Paul was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia in 1978 and as a Practitioner of the High Court of Australia in 1978.
He is a member of the Law Society of South Australia.
