Sarah Colvin is a highly experienced personal injury lawyer and currently heads the Family Law and Wills & Estates practices at Paul Alvaro Lawyers.

She began her journey with the firm in 2010 as a work experience student and has steadily progressed through the ranks. Her dedication and expertise were recognised with a promotion to Special Counsel in July 2025.

Since her admission as a solicitor, Sarah has developed a diverse practice across personal injury, family law, and wills & estates, earning a strong reputation for her comprehensive legal knowledge and client-focused approach.

Recognition

Sarah was awarded a Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LLB (Hons))from the University of Adelaide in 2010 and obtained her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in 2011. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia in December 2011 and as a Practitioner of the High Court of Australia in 2016. She has since achieved the following recognitions:

  • LLM – Master of Laws (Applied Law) Majoring in Family Law on 2 May 2023
  • College of Law Prize for the Best Graduating Masters Student in Family Law on 2 May 2023
  • Achieved certification as a Collaborative Law Practitioner in April 2024
  • Recognition by Doyles Guide in the area of Motor Vehicle Accident Compensation (Plaintiff) Lawyer for South Australia in 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025
  • Recognition by Doyles Guide in the area of Public Liability (Plaintiff) Lawyers for South Australia in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
  • Recognition by Doyles Guide in the area of Workers Compensation (Plaintiff) Lawyers for South Australia in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Sarah is also a member of the Law Society of South Australia, the Australian Lawyers Alliance and the Australian Association of Collaborative Professionals.
